Usahay, nagadamgo ako… Nga ikaw ug ako nagkahigumaan.. Nganong damguhon ko ikaw…
The line from the famous Visayan ballad, Usahay, described both Charles and Grace Buenconsejo’s love to be like a dream…a dream that came to reality when both promised to be true to each other in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, at the National Shrine of Saint Joseph Church in Mandaue City, Cebu, last May 18, 2013 in front of their family, relatives and friends.
It was a simple and solemn ceremony with family and closest friends who made time to travel from as far as Manila just to witness the couple’s exchange of “I do’s”.
It was truly touching to see Charles cried while watching his bride walk down the aisle beautifully clad in a Kate Torralba creation. He couldn’t believe that this was finally the day they both waited. Everything became at ease with assurance when Grace smiled at him, held his hand, and clasped it tightly before they both faced the solemnizing priest.
The ceremony had no extra frills, despite having renowned names in the field of events, fashion and photography. Yet it was unique in such a way that the focus of everyone witnessing the event was with the two of them – the bride and the groom, who have unquestionable love for each other.
After the ceremony, the reception program followed at the small island of Maribago Blue Water Resort. Event stylist Rabbit Hole transformed the venue from end to end with their distinctive design and creation.
The program was hosted by RR Herrera and Carelle Mangaliag, and the event was highlighted with the release of sky lanterns with well wishes written on them for the couple’s new journey in life.
And before the after-party started, Charles and Grace both thanked their family and friends for supporting them all throughout the event.
They truly were beyond words in expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the love and the effort in coming to share their love and happiness and most especially to the friends who rendered their talents and skills freely in order to make their day a special one.
